What is the focus of the Life Safety Code Boot Camp - Hospital Version course?
The Life Safety Code Boot Camp - Hospital Version
is an intensive, two-and-a-half day course based on the rules and requirements for hospitals in the
NFPA's 2000 Life Safety Code. Every Medicare-certified hospital must adhere to the 2000 Life Safety Code
in order to receive reimbursement from the government, and hospitals accredited by The Joint Commission
must also observe the Life Safety Code. But complying with the Life Safety Code requirements can be
complicated-facility managers, safety officers, and others responsible for hospital fire safety must
know the ins and outs of the Code's provisions. Our expert speakers will help attendees navigate the
hospital requirements in the Life Safety Code, apply these rules to their facilities, and learn about
Code nuances through case studies and exercises.

Open registration courses are offered at various locations around the country, typically at

Does HCPro offer
this course "on-site" course?
In addition to our open registration courses, we also offer the Life Safety Code Boot Camp - Hospital Version

What if I
need to cancel or transfer my registration?
Cancellation Policy:
- All cancellations must be made in writing.
- Cancellations received within three days of the date
HCPro, Inc. receives the registration are eligible for a full refund.
- Written cancellations received between four days after the date HCPro, Inc. receives the
registration and 15 days prior to first day of class are eligible for a refund, less a $200
cancellation fee.
- Written cancellations received 14 days prior to the
first day of class are not eligible for a refund, but are eligible for payment transfer (credit) to
another Life Safety Code Boot Camp (less a $200 transfer
fee). The credit is valid for up to 12 months from date of the cancelled class.
- Participant(s) who do not cancel in writing will be
considered as "no shows" and will not be eligible for refunds/credits.
- For Michigan students attending classes in Michigan per Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Growth Refund policy:

The tuition and fees paid by the applicant shall be refunded if the applicant is rejected by the school before enrollment. An application fee of not more than $25.00 may be retained by the school if the application is denied.

All tuition and fees paid by the applicant shall be refunded if requested within 3 business days after signing a contract with the school.

The policy shall adhere to the refund policies of applicable state, federal, and accrediting agencies.

All refunds shall be returned within 30 days.

What material
does the course cover?

Does the course require any experience or training?
No. However, because of the fast-paced nature of the course, it is recommended (but not required)
that participants have some knowledge of the Life Safety Code. This course is taught on a basic to
intermediate level.
How is the course taught?
The course is taught using a combination of lecture, class discussion, and hands-on
exercises/case studies
What do I need to bring to class?
When you arrive at class, you will receive will receive a copy of HCPro's 2000 Life Safety Code Workbook and Study Guide for Healthcare Facilities
(a $495 value). Our speakers will use the workbook to guide their lessons and also provide their own independent insight into Code requirements.
Attendees are encouraged to bring calculators and their own copies of the 2000 Life Safety Code to review during the course. Due to copyright, HCPro cannot reproduce the actual Code for this seminar.
