This two–and–a–half day course will provide you with sustainable solutions to the most common accreditation challenges. Participants will learn the skills necessary to interpret accreditation standards and regulations, implement continuous survey readiness plans, integrate standards with organizational policies and procedures, and identify future trends likely to affect organizational compliance.

Clinical Document Improvement Boot Camp
Sponsored by ACDIS (Association of Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialists), this four–day boot camp provides specific education covering MS–DRGs and reimbursement under the IPPS, ICD–9–CM coding rules and regulations, medical record review and physician query techniques, and CDI program benchmarking and compliance initiatives. The class is designed for new Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) specialists or intermediate CDI specialists in need of more formalized training.

Certified Coder Boot Camp®
Taught by AAPC® certified instructors, this intensive, one–week medical coding course focuses on ICD–9–CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding for physician and hospital outpatient services. Course content is specifically designed to help participants acquire the knowledge necessary to successfully complete AAPC's CPC® exam. The exam is offered as an optional add–on to this course for those students who want to obtain certification as a professional coder.

The course emphasizes inpatient coding guidelines, abstracting inpatient medical records, and DRG (diagnosis related groups) assignment. This intensive, one–week course also focuses on ICD–9–CM Diagnosis (Volumes 1 and 2), and Procedure Coding for Inpatient Hospital Services (Volume 3).

Five-Star Quality Rating Boot CampSM for Long-Term Care
With the introduction of the Five–Star Rating System, CMS has turned inconspicuous data into clear, transparent, publicly reported information. During this intensive, four–day course, expert faculty will cover various topics including an overview of the Five–Star Rating System, methods for staying compliant with the new and upcoming F–Tags, strategies for coping with surveyors and survey teams, and ways to minimize and fight deficiencies under the current regulatory environment.

Health Law Boot CampSM - Hospital Version
In four days, you will obtain a detailed understanding of major healthcare laws, regulations, and interpretive guidelines applicable to hospitals with an emphasis on the real–world application of those rules. Boot camp agenda items include physician self–referral law (Stark Law), anti–kickback statute, the False Claims Act, EMTLA, HIPAA, Antitrust laws, civil monetary penalties guidance, and nonprofit hospital issues.

Life Safety Code® Boot Camp - Hospital Version
Based on the rules and requirements for hospitals in the NFPA's 2000 Life Safety Code, this on–site boot camp is perfect for organizations in need of group training. The intensive course agenda gives participants the knowledge and confidence to recognize how the 2000 Life Safety Code's general provisions apply to hospitals; explain the 2000 Life Safety Code's healthcare occupancy provisions and how to use them; and recall the format of the 2000 Life Safety Code and how to navigate it's healthcare occupancy requirements, exceptions, and annex notes.

During this comprehensive, one–week course, expert faculty present topics on Medicare coverage, billing, coding and payment for hospital outpatient and inpatient services. The program is highly technical and focuses on the Medicare "rules" (including statues, regulations, CMS manuals, and program memos) applicable to hospitals services with an emphasis on operational application of those rules.
