HCPro Boot Camps, the classroom training division of HCPro, Inc., provides intensive hands-on education in healthcare coding, Medicare billing and compliance. These immersion-style courses are offered nationwide or can be hosted for a group at your facility.

A little history
In 2000, healthcare attorney and certified professional coder, Hugh Aaron MHA, JD, CPC,
CPC-H developed and began teaching the Certified Coder Boot Camp®. His boot camp method of delivering coding education became so popular that by 2002, he needed to add more instructors. He created a company, HRAI Coding Specialists, LLC, separate from his law firm, to focus on developing additional coding, billing and compliance-related courses and consulting services.
In 2003, HRAI launched its second course, the Medicare Boot Camp® - Hospital Version.
In 2004, Shannon McCall, RHIA, CPC, CCS developed the third course, the Certified Coder Boot Camp® - Inpatient Version course. At that point, the original Certified Coder Boot Camp® course was renamed the Certified Coder Boot Camp® - Original Version.
Also in 2004, HRAI launched its fourth course, the Medicare Boot Camp® - Long Term Care Version.
In 2005, Kimberly Hoy, JD, CPC, assumed the role of Lead Instructor for the Medicare Boot Camp® - Hospital Version course.
In October, 2005, HRAI's fifth course, the Medicare Boot Camp® - Professional Services Version course was released.
In June of 2006, HRAI Coding Specialists, LLC was acquired by HCPro, Inc. Hugh assumed the role of Senior V.P. of Compliance and Regulatory Affairs. Shannon and Kimberly continue as Directors and Lead instructors for the Coding and Medicare Boot Camps.
Four new HCPro Boot Camps were launched in 2007 - Survey Prep Boot CampSM - Long Term Care version, Health Law Boot CampSM - Hospital version, Life Safety Code® Boot Camp and Interventional Radiology Coding and Billing Boot CampSM.
